Wesley Club Wrestling

Wesley Club Wrestling provides services from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday and Thursday practices run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the first year rooksies and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for those who have been with the club more than one year and have competition experience.

During the season Friday's are weigh-ins and Saturday's are competition days, and the wrestlters return on Sunday's.

Major accomplishments for the 2014-2015 season include:

  • 1st at Texas USA West Regionals
  • 3rd place as a team at Cotton National Open Tournament
  • 4X Reigning Regional Champions in El Paso, Texas
  • 2nd as a Team at the State Tournament
  • 8 State Individual Champions
  • 15 Iron Man Awards
  • 1 National National Wrestler of the Year
  • 2 Outstanding Divisional Wrestlers
  • 1 Competed at the World Championships in Reno, Nevada.

Wesley Club Wrestling purpose:

  • To teach youth 4-15 years of age the fundamentals of wrestling along with instilling three core values. The three core values are 1) Good Nutrition 2) Good Grades 3) Two kneeds for thankfullness--teaching wrestlers how to live a life of gratitude.
